Sustainability

We aim for continuous improvement in the efficiency and safety performance of the railway network, and thus we are committed to increasingly integrating environmental sustainability into Arenaways' strategies and operations. Rail transport not only reduces the impact of private traffic on the environment, but it also directly and positively impacts people's freedom, allowing them to benefit from a democratic means of transportation for independent travel.

In this perspective, we have signed a letter of intent with Škoda Transportation Italia for the development and import of bimodal battery/electric rolling stock suitable for services on so-called secondary lines. These trains, with a battery range of over 80 km, could provide zero-emission connections by charging at stations connected to the electric line, such as Cuneo, Savigliano, and Ceva. We are already working on it and will keep you informed.
