Passenger Attention
The train for everyone
For Arenaways, the train is the most democratic transportation system, and it must be accessible to everyone.
Arenaways trains, designed and organized to ensure full accessibility for people with reduced mobility, benefit from continuous monitoring by the Consultation for People with Difficulties ODV ETS, with which an agreement has been signed making them the Disability Manager. Under the supervision of the Consultation, vehicles and all points of contact between Arenaways and passengers will increasingly and better respond to the needs of all!
Arenaways has partnered with The Institute for the Deaf in Turin, a non-profit foundation that has been operating since 1814 in favor of the education and social inclusion of deaf people, to train onboard staff in the necessary skills to hold a simple conversation with sign language users.
Arenaways staff has thus acquired communicative and linguistic competence in Italian Sign Language (LIS), to approach communication with deaf people in the right way and to understand the world of deafness not only from a linguistic perspective but also a sociocultural one.
For us, the train is the most beautiful and exciting form of transportation. Our priority is to ensure that everyone who chooses Arenaways always feels safe.
Arenaways trains are equipped with cardioprotection: an automated external defibrillator (AED) is always on board. All traveling staff, who in the exercise of their duties are also public officials, have been trained in basic resuscitation and first aid techniques.
In addition to the essential safety equipment of the rolling stock, we have signed an agreement with the Railway Police, which will ensure escort services for trains with a high-risk profile.
